W Budapest

W Hotels Worldwide, part of Marriott Bonvoy, has announced the opening of its first Hungarian property.

W Budapest is housed in the historic Drechsler Palace on Andrássy Avenue. It boasts 151 guestrooms, including 45 suites. Two of the suites pay homage to Swan Lake and reflect the palace’s past as the home of the Institute of Ballet.

The property was restored and redesigned by interior designers Bowler James Brindley and Bánáti + Hartvig. The hotel’s design draws its inspiration from the multi-faceted history of Drechsler Palace, as well as from the architectural patrimony of Budapest and the French Renaissance.

W Budapest offers three F&B concepts. The principal restaurant, Nightingale by Beefbar, serves up Asian cuisine paired with the signatures of the Beefbar concept. Society25 is a speakeasy located in the property’s basement. W Lounge provides sharing plates and cocktails accompanied by live DJ sets.

Additional amenities include a reception room for big events and two spaces designed for business meetings and smaller gatherings. The property’s spa features five treatment rooms and is inspired by the city’s famous thermal baths. A fitness centre completes W Budapest’s well-being offer.

The debut of W Hotels in Budapest marks a monumental milestone and signals a new era of design ethos for our iconic brand. We look forward to connecting our guests to this timeless and inspiring city through inviting yet unexpected design, imaginative dining, and unparalleled guest programming.
