VRetreats has announced the arrival of five new exclusive hotels that will more than double its offer in the country. The new properties bring the Italian collection’s portfolio to nine hotels and residences.
The five new luxury additions to VRetreats’ footprint are:
Hotel Roma (Ortigia)
Located in Syracuse, Sicily, the historic hotel is housed in a late 19th century palazzo. Founded in 1880, the hotel sits next to the town’s Sicilian Baroque cathedral and overlooks the Piazza Minerva. Its restaurant serves up typical dishes rooted in the traditional flavours of Greece and the Middle East.
Palazzo Sant’Anna (Lecce)
The hotel’s lodging offer is spread across three historic buildings, which have been restored in respect of the sites’ original construction. The Palazzo Sant’Anna and Palazzotto Gigli date from the 18th century and the Borgo was built in the 14th century. The property’s design blends contemporary aesthetics with antique furnishings and design elements, and many of its rooms and suites boast terraces and balconies.
Cala Cuncheddi (Sardinia)
Located near Capo Ceraso in the town of Olbia, the coastal resort features an infinity pool and a private beach. Its additional amenities include a garden with centuries-old olive trees and a gym, as well as a spa with private massages, a Finnish sauna, and a sensory shower. Sa Cantina is the resort’s onsite wine bar, and it offers a selection of Sardinian and Italian wines.
Cervino (Alps)
Opened in autumn 2021, the hotel introduces VRetreats' offer to the mountains. Situated in the heart of the Alps on the Italian-Swiss border, Cervino is constructed from environmentally friendly glass and wood. Onsite, it boasts a shop where guests can rent summer and winter equipment to enjoy the mountains, as well as a wellness centre and spa.
Il Tornabuoni (Florence)
The newest addition to the collection is housed in one of the oldest buildings in the Tuscan capital. The 13th century site retains its Renaissance atmosphere, complemented by refined furnishings and personalised services. The hotel provides easy access to local attractions such as Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Repubblica.
