The Virgin Group brand has started taking bookings for its second hotel in the United Kingdom. The new establishment is expected to open its doors on 1st December.
Virgin Hotels Glasgow will boast 240 Chambers across 15 floors. Each Chamber is furnished with local pieces and is well-illuminated and airy. All are designed following Virgin Hotels' signature layout, which features The Dressing Room, a closet and bathroom space, and The Lounge, a living and sleeping space with a TV and ample charging points for devices. Three luxury suites are also at guests’ disposition: Sir Richard’s Flat, Lady B’s Flat and the Moroccan-inspired Kasbah Tamadot Suite.
Four restaurants and bars constitute the hotel’s F&B offering. Commons Club is the brand’s flagship restaurant, and it is joined by Funny Library Coffee Shop, Highyard for entertaining and dining, and Rocks, a late-night bar.
Situated in the heart of Scotland’s biggest city, it offers views of the River Clyde and the Glasgow city centre. Virgin Hotels Glasgow was developed by Silk Property Group, who selected Twenty First Architects to design the hotel. Its curated interiors come courtesy of UK firm Four-By-Two.
