The Tivoli Hotels & Resorts brand will open its first property in Spain after the conversion and renovation of La Caleta Resort in spring 2023. The brand currently has 16 properties in its portfolio, of which 10 are in Portugal, underlying the importance of Southern Europe.

Previously operated by Sheraton, the resort on Tenerife’s Costa Adeje will undergo renovation works and rebranding before reopening as Tivoli La Caleta Resort next year. NH Hotel Group will operate the five-star hotel under a management agreement signed with owner European Hospitality Opportunities.

Tivoli La Caleta Resort will contain 284 rooms, including 20 suites, four restaurants, two bars and ten meeting rooms, as well as three swimming pools, a fitness centre, a luxury spa, and courts for tennis and paddle tennis.

The brand will continue its partnership with Portuguese chef Olivier da Costa for the development and implementation of new concepts across its hotel restaurants. The Tenerife resort will offer some new restaurant concepts to Tivoli guests through its four restaurants.

Yakuza will specialise in the fusion of eastern and western cuisine by combining Mediterranean flavours with the eastern tradition of sushi and sashimi. Guilty will serve ‘casual food’ in a young and cosmopolitan space. Beach Club will serve up traditional fare from Tenerife and the Canary Islands.

During this year, the combined and simultaneous commitment to leisure destinations and business travel destinations has strengthened the recovery capacity of NH Hotel Group. The entry of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts into Spain, with such a characteristic resort as La Caleta in Tenerife, allows us to take a strategic step forward, adding this destination to those already existing for the brand in Portugal, Brazil, Qatar, and China. Going forward, expanding the footprint of this brand through top quality resorts will be a priority for us.
