Six Senses has announced the opening of a new resort near the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia. The property is set to welcome its first clients in early 2023 and is part of the wider The Red Sea Project.
Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea will boast 76 guestrooms and villas. Each guestroom will feature an open-plan bedroom and living room as well as an outdoor terrace. The villas will range from one- to four-bedroom accommodations and offer views over the surrounding desert.
The resort’s centrepiece will be the Oasis. Containing a restaurant, a bar, a boutique, meeting spaces, and cultural, musical and Earth Lab activities, the desert flower-inspired structure will cater to guests’ various needs.
Its spa will feature self-shaded water surfaces and deep cold pools, as well as a Holistic Anti-Aging Center, male and female grooming centres, indoor zones with wet facilities, a sensory suite, a pool bar, and outdoor treatment cabanas with a relaxation area.
Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea will be built to high environmental standards in order to show that such developments can help preserve and enhance the local biodiversity.
