Radisson Hotel Group has announced its arrival on the Spanish island with the opening of a Radisson Blu property in Costa Teguise. It constitutes the brand’s third hotel in the Canary Islands, adding to the two existing properties on Gran Canaria. Radisson has plans to triple its footprint in the Spanish market over the next three years, the group currently has 8 properties in the country.
Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote boasts 225 guest suites, all with terraces, of which 13 are swim-up suites with direct access to the pool. Additional amenities include 4 swimming pools, as well as a wellness centre complete with a gym and spa.
Its F&B options consist of 3 on-site restaurants. Sesto Senso fuses traditional Italian recipes with quality, local and in-season produce. Tremor is a buffet serving up local and international dishes. Finally, Maar provides tapas, poke bowls, and salads in a laid-back, beach club setting.
The resort has opened following a year-long renovation period. Its architecture and interior design are inspired by Lanzarote’s coastline and volcanic landscape. Located near to the Playa Bastián, it has been designed to offer ocean views from all areas of the property.
Sustainability is central to the resort’s conception and design. As part of Radisson Hotel Group’s Net Zero strategy, it uses solar panels and a geothermal plant to produce renewable energy that serves to heat water and the resort’s swimming pool, as well as to operate the property’s air conditioning system. Furthermore, it has a zero-plastic policy and is Travelife certified.
To introduce the Radisson Blu brand to Lanzarote with such an outstanding property is a great achievement. The Canary Islands are a leading destination for guests looking for a relaxing break in the sunshine at any time of year, and this resort offers the perfect place to stay. The location and facilities speak for themselves and provide an ideal haven to unwind.
