Radisson Hotel Group aims to be one of the top three hotel groups in the world. As such, it is pursuing an ambitious growth plan across the globe via the development of its portfolio of hotel brands and resorts. The group has shared an overview of the expansion achieved by several of its key brands last year.
Radisson Collection
The group’s luxury brand had a very successful 2022. It introduced six new hotels across two continents in Bilbao, Pula, Tirana, Riyadh, Tallinn, and Istanbul. Already for this year, it has a further four additions in Europe and Asia in the pipeline.
Radisson RED
Four milestone openings marked 2022 for the upper upscale brand. It grew its portfolio with additions in Liverpool, Madrid, Gdańsk, and Oslo.
Radisson Blu
The largest upper upscale brand in Europe expanded in South Sudan, Romania, Madagascar, the UK, and Spain.
Radisson
Belgium, Poland, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Dubai, Turkey, the Maldives, and India saw the opening of new branded properties last year. Radisson continues to be the hotel sector’s fastest-growing upscale brand in the EMEA region.
Radisson Individuals
Last year, the brand grew its portfolio by more than 20 properties in key destinations such as Italy, France, Poland, and Thailand.

The brand debuted in 2022 with the opening of a first property in northern India.

The group’s midscale lifestyle brand enjoyed the opening of three new properties over the course of the previous calendar year.
Radisson Hotel Group has a portfolio of 130 resorts. This type of property has become increasingly important to its business, owners, and guests. In 2022, additions were made in Dubai, Victoria Falls, Skiathos, Mykonos, Pula, Phan Thiết, Goa, Galle, Port Ghalib, Port Phoenice, Saly, Larnaca, and Saidia.
The group experienced notable growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Its signings were up 40% compared to 2021. In China, it signed and opened 80 hotels and harbours ambitions to double its Chinese portfolio over the next five years. Furthermore, new dedicated Business Units in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, and Sydney have been established and a strategic alliance in India with Ruptub Solutions Private Limited added 150 hotels to Park Inn & Suites by Radisson’s portfolio.
Finally, RHG launched its revamped Radisson Rewards programme in Q4 2022. It notably offers guests the chance to make their stay carbon neutral.
