The group is setting up in the destination with the new membership of one of the city’s historic and emblematic properties: The State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel.
Preferred Hotel Group may now count The State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel in St-Petersburg among its collection. This historic and emblematic property in the city adjacent to the homonymous museum was built in 1830 for a wealthy merchant.
Destroyed by fire in 2005, The State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel was then renovated to reopen its doors in 2013. The five-star hotel has 126 rooms that meet the criteria of the Preferred Hotel Group, as well as two restaurants. The hotel's exclusive association with the Hermitage Museum grants its guests exclusive access to the museum.
This new membership allows the voluntary chain Preferred Hotel Group to make its foray into the hotel market in St-Petersburg and strengthen its presence in Russia, where it had only one property, the Ukraina Hotel in Moscow.
