After the incorporation of 21c Museum into MGallery by Sofitel announced last week, Accor continues to grow its collection of exceptional boutique-hotels through the acquisition of a 72 hectare property on the island of Phuket, in Thailand.
Developed along Kalama Beach, the green tones of the almost futuristic complex will blend with the luxuriant nature that will surround it. Indeed, the omnipresence of more than 16,000m² of gardens, surrounded by the mountains on one side and the Andaman Sea on the other, will denote the setting nicknamed "MontAzure" for its position between the mountains and the coast.
This luxurious residential complex is Accor's new project under the MGallery By Sofitel brand, MontAzure Lakeside, which will open its doors in 2021. Pre-sales are already underway. Patrick Basset, Managing Director of Accor for Northeast and Southeast Asia and the Maldives, explains: "MontAzure Lakeside is the perfect opportunity to introduce the first MGallery Residences brand in Thailand. MGallery Residences tells a unique story inspired by the destination. MontAzure will create an exclusive experience that exudes charm, charisma and a deeply local character that enhances the quality of residential life in Phuket."
The complex will consist of 236 luxurious studios that have been designed to offer a view of the "lake", whence the name of the hotel, Lakeside. Common areas will also be available such as a relaxation pavilion, a jogging track, a yoga platform, a nature discovery trail, a fitness centre and a children's club. Restaurants, bars and clubs will complete the offer.
Management of the housing units will be entrusted to Accor, allowing customers the opportunity to benefit from all the advantages of the group's loyalty program, that has recently been updated. The MGallery By Sofitel properties are an integral part of the Accor group, and offer a collection of old and contemporary immersive boutique hotels to discover local cultures, with a particular focus on culture, literature and the arts.
