MEININGER has announced the opening of its first property in Cologne. The move brings the chain’s German presence to 15 hotels across nine cities.
MEININGER Hotel Cologne West offers 209 guestrooms and is situated in OVUM, a new urban complex in the city's Braunsfeld district. The site is also home to restaurants, a supermarket, retail stores, and a café.
The hotel boasts a design theme of “Art is for everyone now”, which also reflects the city of Cologne. It is the first MEININGER property to have gender-neutral toilets in order further to promote inclusivity.
Following on from MEININGER Venezia Mestre, MEININGER Hotel Cologne West is the chain’s second opening this year.
MEININGER welcomes everyone and supports and respects all kinds of guest groups, individuals, and communities. That's why our new location in Cologne is designed to offer something for everyone. Guests who take our motto 'Step out and explore' literally are well-prepared to discover the city thanks to our excellent connectivity. Those who prefer spending time at the hotel can enjoy the game zone, cook a cosy meal, or meet like-minded individuals at the bar.
