The hotel, which will open under the Campanile brand, is part of Louvre Hotels Group's development plans in the Asian country. The group's ambition is to consolidate and expand its three brands, Campanile, Kyriad and Golden Tulip, in the region.
Campanile Shanghai Lingang will have 212 rooms and is expected to welcome its first guests in February 2023. The construction and development of the hotel will be carried out in partnership with Jin Jang Hotels China Region.
Louvre Hotels Group opened its first Chinese hotel in 2016. Since then, the group has expanded rapidly and is now celebrating the signing of its 500th project in China. It has successfully established itself in megacities such as Shanghai and Shenzhen, with notably the openings of Golden Tulip Rainbow Shanghai, Smart Hotel Campanile Jing'An Shanghai and Kyriad Marvelous Hotel Shenzhen Bao'an International Convention & Exhibition Center.
As part of the development of its brands in China, the group is now looking to invest in strategic cities such as Chongqing, Chengdu and Guiyang.
The signing of the Campanile Shanghai Lingang is part of the group's development strategy to strengthen its presence in Asia and particularly in China, a country with strong potential for business and leisure tourism. By 2025, we expect to have signed more than 1,000 hotels under the Kyriad, Campanile and Golden Tulip brands. Our Tulip Lodj brand also made a strong entry into the residential hotel market this year in China.
