Legendary Hotels and Resorts to enter Icelandic hotel market

Legendary Hotels and Resorts Iceland

The new pan-European operator, Legendary Hotels and Resorts, has announced ambitious plans to construct, purchase or rebrand 12 hotels across Iceland over the next two years.

A first hotel has been purchased in the south of the country and is set to undergo full rebranding at the beginning of 2023. Legendary Hotels and Resorts aims to have the full portfolio of 12 hotels under construction, purchased or rebranded by 2024.

Each property will provide  flexible check-in and check-out times, various home comforts, and seamless airport transfer. In order to promote local culture, each will feature paintings and works of art by Icelandic artists.

Furthermore, clients will benefit from international breakfast options and Iceland’s choicest coffees and wines. 

The operator plans to invest $137 million in the properties.Legendary Hotels and Resorts is based in Reykjavik and is also currently seeking out other opportunities across Northern Europe, and beyond.
