Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Ian Di Tullio to the position of Chief Commercial Officer. He took up his new role in June 2023.
Ian Di Tullio brings 25 years of experience in analytics and marketing to Minor Hotels. He began his career in 1998 as Convenience Retailing Analyst at Petro-Canada and, in 2000, he become Strategic Alliances & Partnerships Manager at Reader’s Digest Association.
In 2003, he joined LoyaltyOne, where he progressed through the loyalty programme’s ranks over the course of seven years. He began as a Relationship Management Manager and left as Director of Client Services. In between, he held various posts, including Associate Director of Loyalty Strategy and Engagement Manager at LoyaltyOne Consulting.
Di Tullio then entered the travel industry when he was appointed Director of Loyalty Marketing by Air Canada in 2011. After nearly four years in the role, he was subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Director of Customer Engagement & Partnership Marketing.
He left Canada in 2015 for Qatar when he was named Vice-President of Global CRM, Loyalty, & Contact Centres of the country’s flag carrier. In 2018, he moved on from Qatar Airways to join the hospitality sector and Accor in Paris.
Initially the group’s Global Senior Vice-President of Digital Marketing, Loyalty, & Guest Services, Ian Di Tullio went on to occupy several senior roles within Accor. He was CCO for Southern Europe and Co-CEO of onefinestay, before becoming CCO for Europe & North Africa.
In his most recent role, prior to joining Minor Hotels, he was charged with leading the commercial management and marketing of a portfolio of some 3,000 hotels spread across a spectrum of customer segments and operating models.
Di Tullio obtained a Ph.D. in Marketing from Cranfield University in 2014. The Canadian national also holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Queen’s University and has completed Executive Education in Marketing Analytics at The Wharton School.
