
The Hoxton has announced plans to open 7 new European hotels by early 2024. The new openings are slated for London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, Edinburgh, Vienna and Dublin.
London
The brand’s fourth London property will open its doors in December 2022. Located in Shepherd’s Bush, the hotel will boast 237 guestrooms, a Thai-American fusion restaurant called Chet’s, a bar and terrace, a lobby, an environmentally-conscious retail unit providing refillable products, and The Apartment meeting and events space.
Amsterdam
The Hoxton’s second hotel in the Dutch city will open in spring 2023, following the success of its first establishment in 2015. Ennismore Design Studio and Nicemakers have teamed up to transform the city’s iconic Lloyd Hotel into a 136-key inspired by German Brick Expressionism and original 20th century detailing. It will feature new ‘Biggy Bunk Up’ category rooms, a light and airy ground floor lobby and restaurant, a terrace, and The Apartment meeting and events space.
Brussels
The brand will make its bow in Belgium when this 198-key property opens in the capital next spring. Located in a Brutalist building that formerly served as IBM’s European headquarters, the hotel’s designed is inspired by the 1970s and features a double-height lobby, a bar and restaurant, a rooftop bar and terrace with views over the city. Four floors of the building will be dedicated to The Hoxton’s co-working brand, Working From_.
Berlin
Opening in summer 2023, the 234-room hotel takes its design inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement as well as from the famous Charlottenburg district in which it is located. It will boast an open lobby, a restaurant, a cocktail bar, a café and The Apartment meeting and events space.
Edinburgh
Slated to open its doors in summer 2023 in the Scottish capital’s Haymarket area, the hotel will be housed across 10 Georgian townhouses that have been stitched together on both sides of the road where the hotel is located. It will feature 211 guestrooms, 3 ‘Hox Homes’ (three-bedroom self-contained apartments available for long-stays), a lobby, restaurant, large event spaces, and a gallery.
Vienna
Austria’s former Chamber of Commerce HQ in the capital’s Stadtpark district will accommodate The Hoxton, Vienna when it opens in late 2023. The 196-key property will boast a spacious lobby and coffee bar, a restaurant and terrace, a rooftop bar and pool, an underground speakeasy, The Apartment meeting and events space, and a brand-first: an events auditorium.
Dublin
The Hoxton will make its debut in Ireland in early 2024. Once restored, the city’s iconic Central Hotel and Library Bar on Exchequer Street will reopen as a 129-room hotel. Additional amenities will include a lobby, a café, a wine bar, a restaurant and another brand-first: a late-night music venue.
