The Greet Evreux Centre has opened its doors in the centre of Evreux. Formerly operating under the ibis Budget brand, the hotel was acquired in 2021 by Grape Hospitality and underwent major renovation works.
The Greet Evreux Centre has 52 rooms. The 'Pure' rooms have a minimalist, nature-like atmosphere, while the 'Pop' rooms are more spacious and colourful. The Atelier is a space where everyone can come to work, tinker, repair their bikes and socialise. The Grape Bar is also open to all and promotes local products and the art of living “à la normande”.
The hotel is moving to position itself as a must for those visiting the region by bike. In addition to the Atelier, it offers a secure indoor garage for storage. Its 'greeters' also offer advice to cyclists on how to tour Normandy in the most environmentally-conscious way possible. Two electric charging points for cars are also available to guests.
greet is Accor's eco-responsible brand and the new hotel has been designed with recycling and upcycling in mind. The entire hotel offer, including the restaurant, workshop, rooms and library, adheres to this philosophy. A bicycle saddle turned into a coat rack or a table d'hôte combining raw and recycled materials such as logistic transport crates decorate the common areas. Grape Hospitality called on several upcycling experts such as Emmaüs Défi, Square Solutions, La Collecterie and Cicérone for the refurbishment.
I had to respect the DNA of the greet brand, and this was a very stimulating creative challenge! Developing and sharing with associations is a human adventure that is rich in encounters and creation.
