Golden Tulip has announced the signing of a new hotel project, the Golden Tulip Gebkim Kocaeli, scheduled to open in spring 2025.
This will be the brand's second property in Turkey, reinforcing its presence in the country. The project aligns with Louvre Hotels Group's strategy to expand its upscale offerings in key markets.
“The hotel market on the Asian side of Istanbul and Kocaeli is driven by strong demand from business travelers, leisure tourists and the MICE sector. This is what makes the city so attractive for the Golden Tulip brand. We are convinced that this new hotel will bring added value to the existing offer, while meeting the varied needs of an international clientele” - Hakan ARIER, General Manager of Arıer Otel Yatirimlari Anonim Sirketi.
Located in Kocaeli, a growing city near Istanbul, the Golden Tulip Gebkim Kocaeli will cater to both business and leisure travelers. Its strategic location provides convenient access to Istanbul via three major highways and frequent boat-bus services, as well as proximity to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. This makes the hotel an attractive option for international visitors seeking accessible and high-quality accommodations.
“As demand for accommodation in the upscale segment intensifies, our alliance with our partner Arıer Otel Yatirimlari Anonim Sirketi enables us to strengthen our presence in the Turkish market and meet the ever more demanding expectations of our customers,” - Andreas Tscherning, Managing Director of International Operations at Louvre Hotels Group.
The hotel will feature 105 rooms, while guests will have access to an on-site restaurant, bar, lounge, and a function room accommodating up to 300 people, along with a meeting room for up to 112 participants. Additionally, the hotel will offer a 50-space outdoor parking area for guests.
This development highlights Golden Tulip's commitment to expanding its upscale hotel offerings in Turkey, responding to the increasing demand for premium accommodations in the region.
