The 45th edition of FITUR 2025, held from January 22 to 26 at IFEMA Madrid, set a new record with 255,000 visitors, including 155,000 professionals. This enthusiasm highlights the strong recovery of the tourism sector and FITUR’s key role in the industry. FITUR: A Growth Accelerator for Global Tourism

The event generated an estimated economic impact of €445 million for Madrid, directly benefiting the hospitality, restaurant, mobility, culture, and leisure sectors. This dynamic reflects the growing importance of tourism in both the local and national economy.

FITUR 2025 broke its own records by bringing together 9,500 companies, 156 countries, and 884 main exhibitors, marking a 10% increase compared to 2024. Additionally, 101 countries sent official delegations, five more than the previous year, further strengthening FITUR’s role as a key platform for international tourism industry exchanges.

FITUR 2025’s performance aligns with a global context of strong tourism recovery. In 2024, the number of international tourists reached 1.4 billion, while Spain recorded 94 million visitors, including 16 million in Madrid. Tourism revenues amounted to €126 billion in Spain and €16 billion in Madrid, a trend expected to continue growing in 2025.
