Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the franchise agreement between its brand, Grand Hyatt, and La Manga Club, S.L. (an affiliate of Grupo Inversor Hesperia). The debut of the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain is set for mid-2023. The move comes as part of Hyatt’s plans to grow its luxury brands in key destinations across Europe.
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort sits in the enclave of La Manga Club in Murcia. It is surrounded by 1,384 acres of greenery and offers easy access to natural landmarks like Calblanque Natural Park and the Mar Menor lagoon.
The property will undergo extensive renovation works before its reopening in spring. Its 192 guestrooms, including a 156 m² Royal Suite and six other suites, will be redesigned. The F&B offer will be reworked with the addition of a sushi bar and an upscale gastronomic restaurant.
Its amenities consist of a spa area with two new adults-only pools, as well as 1,288 m² of events space capable of hosting meetings, conferences, and weddings. The hotel’s sporting facilities include three championship level 18-hole golf courses, outdoor tennis courts, and a football centre.
The first Grand Hyatt property in Spain, it will be bolstered in 2025 by the opening of Grand Hyatt Lanzarote. It joins the brand’s European portfolio alongside existing hotels in cities such as Berlin, Athens, and Istanbul.
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will offer the modern traveller enriching luxury and lifestyle experiences and will mark an important milestone in our impressive luxury brand growth in Europe. This will be our third collaboration with Grupo Inversor Hesperia in Spain, building on our lasting relationships with leading owners and the value of our diverse and dynamic brand portfolio.
