Dusit Hotels and Resorts has announced its plans to open 15 hotels and resorts across China, India, Nepal, Thailand, Japan, Kenya, and Greece. The openings will grow Dusit’s global portfolio to 62 hotels (approximately 13,700 keys) in over 17 countries worldwide.
China
Three wellness-oriented properties will join Dusit’s 11 other Chinese hotels this year. Dusit Thani Mogan Mountain, Huzhou will open in Q1. It will boast 22 Thai-style deluxe guest rooms, three villas, and a spa experience. 250 guestrooms and villas will follow in 2024. Dusit Devarana Hangzhou, a luxury resort with a wellness centre, and Dusit Princess Suites Hotel Ganzhou, a 260-key upper-midscale resort, will open in Q3 2023.
India
Two branded properties are set to open in Q4 this year. Dusit Princess Serviced Suites Kolkata will open as part of a high-end residential development project and boast 144 rooms. Additional amenities will include an all-day dining restaurant and MICE facilities. dusitD2 Fagu, Shimla will be situated in the Himalayan Range, at some 2,500 m above sea level. It will offer 80 rooms, an indoor heated swimming pool, an all-day dining restaurant, a Thai specialty restaurant, a bar, and a spa.
Nepal
The brand-new Dusit Princess Kathmandu features 108 rooms and suites, a fitness centre, a signature Namm spa, a ballroom, meeting facilities, a Dusit Gourmet outlet, a SOI restaurant offering Thai and Nepalese specialties, and a rooftop swimming pool with bar and restaurant. Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel will be a 5* mountaintop resort with 44 guestrooms, 20 villas, and a signature Devarana Spa. Both open in Q2 2023.
Thailand
Four new openings are set for the company’s home country, three in Q2 and one in Q4. ASILI Village at dusitD2 Khao Yai will offer an immersive glamping experience alongside the existing dusitD2 hotel. It will consist of five villas with private plunge pools. ASAI Bangkok Sathorn will be the capital’s second ASAI hotel and offer 106 rooms.
dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok will mark the brand’s debut in the capital. It will boast 179 guestrooms, a multi-level food and beverage concept, and a panoramic view swimming pool and pool bar. Opening in Q4, Dusit Princess Phatthalung will offer 132 rooms and suites, a ballroom and landscaped function lawn, family play areas, and a lakeside restaurant.
Japan
ASAI Shijo Kyoto will open its doors in Q2. The hotel will provide 114 guestrooms, a large communal space, and an F&B concept inspired by Thai street food. Dusit Thani Kyoto will open in the following quarter. The luxury 147-room retreat will blend Thai hospitality with Japanese tradition.
Kenya
Dusit Princess Hotel Residences Nairobi will boast 100 hotel rooms and apartments when it opens in Q2. Its facilities will include a heated swimming pool, a rooftop gym, a grab-and-go outlet, an Italian all-day dining restaurant, a lounge bar, and five meeting rooms.
Greece
The company’s European debut will see the opening of Dusit Suites Athens in Q1. The boutique property will offer 36 guestrooms.
