MEININGER Hotels has announced the appointment of Diana Vieweg to the role of Director of Human Resources. She will take up her new responsibilities on 1st August 2023.
Diana Vieweg graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a Bachelor’s in International Business in 2011, before taking up her studies again in 2014 to obtain a Master’s degree in HR Management & Development from the University of Manchester.
She gained her first experience in the HR department of an international hotel company in 2010 when she worked as HR Coordinator at Marriott. She would stay with the company for over eight years and worked her way up to HR Manager and then HR Director of different Marriott properties in England, Germany, and Australia.
In 2018, Vieweg was appointed Club Manager of Snap Fitness 24/7, a fitness club with over 800 members in Perth, Western Australia. After the Covid-19 pandemic, she moved to Germany and joined GISMA Business School as Human Resources Manager in October 2021.
Vieweg returned to the world of hospitality HR in October 2022 when she arrived at MEININGER Hotels. Initially hired as Regional Human Resources Manager, she will now succeed Irina Kornyushenkova as the hotel group’s Director of Human Resources.
I am very excited about this new challenge. Already, I have gained many new insights, and I am curious about what awaits me as the successor to Irina Kornyushenkova. With the fantastic HR team by my side, we will continue to support the company in all areas to the best of our abilities.
