Costa Navarino is gearing up for the 2024 season with an array of offerings. Nestled in Messinia, Costa Navarino’s philosophy prioritizes environmental and social responsibility, focusing on sustainable tourism development that respects the natural environment and local communities of the region.

Costa Navarino follows strict environmental protection guidelines and management principles, acknowledging the importance of preserving an unspoiled natural environment for sustainable tourism. Approximately 8% of the development budget is dedicated to creating the necessary infrastructure for sustainable operation, while the building footprint occupies less than 10% of the total land area.

“We deal with sustainability in an integrated way. The environmental, the financial and the social. So we have actions on all these sectors. On the environmental part, we have development practices on whatever we do. With local constructor products, with the fact that we are always careful with the irrigation water, which we collect only from surface water for all our facilities. We have architectural regulations for all the residences we develop that commit everyone to how much water they use and what plants they put in which are all native. But also with building automation and technology, we save energy and so we create a very small energy footprint.”  “To the economic sustainability of the wider region, for every one job we create in Costa Navarino within our businesses we create 0, 8 jobs in the wider region. But we have taken care and about 65% - 70% of our partners are from the local community.” “And so we go to the social part, as they develop their professional personalities and socially and create groups that have high quality employment that are local.” - Evgenios Dendrinos - Managing Director of TEMES S.A.
