IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of the flagship Cannes property to its Regent Hotels & Resorts portfolio. For the new opening, the company will continue its partnership with the hotel’s owner and developer, Katara Hospitality. Carlton Cannes is one of eight Regent hotels in IHG’s pipeline.
Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel will open in Spring 2023 after two years of redevelopment work. The luxury establishment will boast 332 rooms and 37 branded residences. Its interiors have been designed by Tristan Auer and the renovation works on the site’s exteriors have preserved its historic features, including the façade.
The French hotel will join the new era of Regent along with properties in Chongqing, Shanghai, and Phu Quoc. The choice of France for the company’s first Regent hotel in Europe is a measure of the country’s importance as a destination for IHG and grows its French portfolio of 63 open hotels and 18 pipeline properties.
We are absolutely delighted to be working with IHG to transform the Carlton Cannes into a Regent Hotel, providing an inspiring gateway from which to explore the wonders of the French Riveira. Our aim is to deliver the serene and sensational at every turn. Our significant and continued investment will ensure that the hotel will stand the test of time for many years to come.
