The opening of the two coastal resorts signals the debut of the group’s new sub-brand, Brown Beach. The move displays its desire to move into the seaside market and follows the opening of Isla Brown Corinthia earlier in summer 2022.
Brown Beach Eretria and Brown Beach Chalkida have opened their doors for the launch of the new four-star brand. They have grown the group’s Greek portfolio to 9 properties.
Brown Beach Eretria is the group’s very first all-inclusive establishment. It boasts a bar and an all-day-dining restaurant, two swimming pools, a spa and wellness centre, a gym, an in-house entertainment programme and an events space. Its “Blue Water” aquatic centre has activities for children and adults alike, and features sporting pursuits like water skiing, wakeboarding, diving, parasailing and flyboarding.
Located on Evia Island, Brown Beach Chalkida features 119 guestrooms, a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a gym, a tennis court, a spa, a wellness centre and an event space.
Brown Hotels has ambitious growth plans and intends to open new properties in Germany and Cyprus, adding to its existing ones in Greece, Israel and Croatia. By 2024, the group is set to have opened and operate 40 hotels.
Evia Island is one of the largest and closest islands to Athens, yet still remains relatively unknown. Being so closely located to Athens, accessible by a one-hour car drive, and with such a beautiful coastline, we saw an opportunity to invest in this untapped destination as domestic and international tourism continues to rise. The new Brown Beach resorts usher in a new hospitality offering to the Brown Hotels collection, and we’re excited to be diversifying and connecting with new audiences as the group expands.
