The Best Western Plus Hôtel de la Cité royale in Loches has opened its doors in this important site in French history, once visited by figures such as Joan of Arc, Charles VII and Anne of Brittany.
Formerly a courthouse, the historic building has been renovated by the group, with due respect paid to its original architectural character. The new four-star hotel has 45 contemporary-style rooms with views of the garden or the Tours-Preuilly Forest.
It also features a restaurant with a terrace and a menu made up of fresh, local products as well as an indoor pool with hydromassage jets and a spa with a hammam and 2 massage rooms.
Located amongst the châteaux of the Loire, the hotel is close to the Loches Forest, the Prairies du Roy, the René Boylesve Garden and Beauval Zoo. For guests looking for a bit of culture, the old town of Loches with its keep and royal dwelling is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.
