B&B HOTELS has announced the appointment of Sophie Donabedian as Chief Sustainability Officer. She took up her position in June 2023.
Sophie Donabedian's mission will be to integrate and amplify the CSR ambitions of the B&B HOTELS group’s development strategy.
A graduate of ESSEC Business School, Sophie Donabedian has over 15 years' professional experience in transformation and strategy. Over the course of her career, she has led the transformation of companies with a focus on energy transition and sustainability.
She began her career with Rhodia Engineering Plastics in 2002, before joining Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 2004. Between 2008 and 2010, she was Strategy Manager at AREVA T&D.
In 2010, she cut her teeth on the issue of sustainability when she became Smart Grids / Sustainable Cities Strategy and Business Development Director at Schneider Electric. Four years later, Sophie Donabedian was promoted to Digital Customer Experience Director at Schneider.
She joined SEDIVER in 2018 as Chief of Strategy & Digital Transformation. Two years later, her role was expanded to encompass marketing, as well as CSR. In particular, she was responsible for managing sustainable transformation, energy transition, and reducing the company's impact on climate and biodiversity.
Sophie Donabedian has also served on the boards of Aster Fab and Ewellix. She is currently a delegate for the Grand Défi initiative.
The announcement follows other appointments to the B&B HOTELS management team in recent months.
