The Ascott Limited Group announced on 13th December 2022 the appointment of Valérie Jouatel to the HR VP position. She also joins the European Executive Team and will report directly to Ngor Houai Lee, the Group’s Managing Director of Europe.
As Vice-President Human Resources Europe of The Ascott Limited, Valérie Jouatel's main tasks will be to lead the Group's social policy and to support its 900 employees in Europe through the profound changes currently taking place in the hotel sector.
She started her career in 1993 after obtaining a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Audencia. She was first a financial consultant at Legal & General before joining France Telecom as a Career Guidance and Recruitment Officer in 1995. During her 11 years with the company, she held positions such as Head of Resource Development and International Operations Project Director.
Between 2006 and 2020, Jouatel worked for Orange. Until 2010, she was HR Director – Orange AMEA. Then she became Director of Employment, Skills, and Development and HRIS, where she managed a scope of 21,000 employees. From 2015 to 2017, she was Director of HR - Digital Subsidiaries, before becoming Director of Career Development for the Orange Group.
In 2020, she joined Malakoff Humanis as Director of Career Development and Competence Development. A position she held for 2 years before joining The Ascott Limited.
