Accor has launched the latest edition of its global competition, which offers employment opportunities within the Group to students.
The theme of the 2023 edition of the TakeOff! Student Challenge is: "What memorable digital and innovative experiences could Accor offer to its guests to develop and ensure their loyalty?”
Innovation and digital are therefore at the heart of the challenge of this new edition. Participants will have to think about how to reinvent guest experiences by driving digitalisation and innovation. They will have the opportunity to exchange with Accor executives and thus benefit from their expertise.
Registration for the new edition is open and students have until 9th April 2023 to submit their project. At the end of the competition, some students will be offered international internships, apprenticeships, or graduate job opportunities at Accor.
The Group’s stated ambition for the 2023 edition is to help the younger generation to take their first steps in the world of work and to convince more young talents to enter the hospitality industry.
The TakeOff! Student Challenge was launched in 2012 and has since put to the challenge over 6,000 international students on a variety of themes. Each year, participants are invited to focus on a real Accor case study, pitch their business projects, and be evaluated by the Group’s leadership team and experts.
Last year, 16 finalists were selected from nearly 600 student participants from across 200 schools and 37 countries. The three winners were given the opportunity to visit Accor's headquarters and hotels in Paris and to talk to the teams.
TakeOff! was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to stretch my creativity, gain greater clarity on the inner workings of hospitality, and, lastly, challenge myself to develop innovative and revolutionary solutions. One piece of advice I would give to the new participants is to be up to date on the latest trends and developments in the industry and try to think from a user’s and Accor’s perspective to determine the best adapted solutions possible.
