A Combined General Meeting was held at Accor's head office on 31 May, chaired by Sébastien Bazin, who took the opportunity to unveil the Group's raison d'être, alongside Martine Gerow, Chief Financial Officer, and Brune Poirson, Director of Sustainable Development.
During this meeting of the Group's shareholders, Sébastien Bazin revealed Accor's raison d'être, which is expressed under the slogan ‘Pioneers of responsible hospitality, we bring cultures together with passion and generosity’. This raison d'être is the result of the collaboration of thousands of group employees to highlight Accor's unique identity, which is also expressed in the form of pillars and commitments.
On the commitment side, Brune Poirson was also present to describe the Group's CSR strategy and priorities, with a view to reinforcing the actions and strategies implemented by Accor in the area of sustainable development. The Group has long been committed to this issue, and is stepping up its actions in favour of a more responsible hotel industry, particularly by 2030.
Lastly, Martine Gerow reviewed the Group's results for 2023, which were very positive, with Accor posting EBITDA in excess of €1 billion for the first time in its history. The Group's Chief Financial Officer proposed a dividend of €1.18 per share.
The quorum was 67.66% of shares. In conclusion, all the resolutions submitted to the General Meeting were adopted, with the exception of resolution no. 13, relating to the authorisation to issue share warrants to be allocated free of charge to shareholders in the event of a public offer for the Company's shares.
