Accor has appointed Caroline Benard to the position of Senior Vice-President Marketing & Communication Global Development for Premium, Midscale, and Economy Brands. She will report to Camil Yazbeck, Global Chief Development Officer.
Caroline Benard has risen through the ranks at Accor since joining the hospitality group straight out of university. After obtaining an MBA from ESSEC Business School in 2007, she was appointed General Manager of ibis Sheffield Centre.
She spent nearly two years in England, before returning to her native France as Rooms Division Manager of Novotel Saint-Quentin en Yvelines. From 2010 to 2017, Benard held the role of General Manager at Novotel Poissy Orgeval, Novotel Château de Maffliers, and then Novotel Paris La Défense.
In spring 2017, she was appointed Eco Brands Experience Vice-President. In this position, she was responsible for global branding, marketing strategy, brand content, and communication for the ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis budget brands.
Caroline Benard took over the role of SVP Global Midscale & Economy Brands in March last year. Her tasks included brand strategy, brand experience, brand marketing for economy (ibis, ibis Styles, ibis budget, greet) and midscale (Novotel, Mercure, Grand Mercure) brands.
In her new position, she will be charged with promoting Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy brands among owners, partners, and investors.
