The re-branding of the full-service hotel group should make it possible to accelerate the convergence of its distribution platforms
With 31,000 sites operated and 1,200 campsites, Vacalians is changing its name to Vacanceselect and launching several marketing initiatives at the same time:
After acquiring Vacanceselect - Selectcamp in April 2018, which has a strong presence in Northern Europe, the French group plans to take advantage of its reputation by making Vacanceselect.com the main European digital reservation platform for all its brands. This will allow Tohapi and Canvas to increase their visibility with Northern European customers.
The new Customer Loyalty Program: #MyClubVacanceselect will cover more than 250 campsites for the 2019 season on the Tohapi and Canvas offers, the other brands will join the program in 2020. Some customers will be able to benefit from a 5% discount on web bookings.
According to a press release, the new signature "Enjoy Outdoors" aims to highlight:
- Enjoy, to invite European tourists to enjoy their holidays and to get together with family or friends to make them moments that matter.
- Outdoors, to meet the need to disconnect from everyday life, to leave an often urban professional environment to enjoy the Outdoors, Vacanceselect's core business
Christophe Alaux, Chairman of the Vacanceselect Management Board: "The tourism and leisure industry is undergoing a major transformation. Vacalians, which becomes Vacanceselect, is a start-up of the campsite that has managed in 15 years to reach the first place on the podium of the Outdoor Resort in Europe. We want to go further and reaffirm our social and societal roots, those of holidays for all, to fully embrace the transformation of tourism and the digital economy."
