Following an eventful year for Vacanceselect, the group ends 2018 with the definitive acquisition of the 8 Amac campsites

Vacanceselect has announced the signature of the definitive acquisition contract for the Amac group - operating a portfolio of 8 campsites in France, representing 3,800 sites - further to the purchase announcements made 5 months ago.

The outdoor hotel group has carried out several actions this year, including the acquisition of Vacanceselect-Selectcamp and the change of its name.

The number of sites developed under the Vacanceselect brand increased by 35% over the year, two-thirds of which were directly managed (5,500 sites) and one-third under franchise (3,000 sites). The group's total number of locations is 33,000 under the brand name, including 30,000 managed directly.

Christophe Alaux, Chairman of Vacanceselect's Management Board: "Our development has reached a record level with 43 new campsites under the brand, which clearly marks our central position in the European tourism industry. Our growth is balanced, with a priority for sites as subsidiaries in our core business of campsite operator, but with areas of diversification including the confirmed success of the Franchise and the consolidation of our partnerships outside France."
