The outdoor hotel specialist has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Orbitur as well as four initial franchise contracts for 2018.
As we announced a few days ago, Vacalians was planning to support its development strategy in Europe notably through its fundraising.
It is in Southern Europe, and more specifically in Portugal, an emerging camping market on the continent, that Vacalians is continuing to expand. The company has signed a partnership with Orbitur, a pioneer of the camping sector in Portugal, to equip and distribute 21 new destinations representing 900 mobile homes and glamping tents. Vacalians was drawn to Orbitur by the importance of its network of campsites located on the Portuguese Atlantic Coast and its services and quality strategy focused on customer satisfaction.
Jaime Texeira, President of Orbitur said: "I am very proud of the commercial partnership signed with Vacalians which gives us powerful means to promote Portugal as a the destination." Christophe Alaux, CEO of Vacalians said that this partnership "marks the first step in the deployment of our group in this high-potential market".
In addition, Vacalians has just announced the signing of its first four franchise contracts for the 2018 season. Three months after the launch of the Tohapi franchise project, the network is enriched by four properties located in Millau (Aveyron), Murol (Vaucluse), Mondragon (Vaucluse) and Talmont St Hilaire (Vendée).
Vacalians plans to welcome around 20 franchised properties for the 2019-2020 seasons and aims to provide solutions to independent campsites.
