Reprise après Covid 19

As a result of the measures put in place to combat Covid 19, many hoteliers had suspended their activities during lockdown. Although they were not forced to close their properties by regulations, they were actually forced to do so, with few or no customers.

Although UNWTO predicts a 60-80% drop in tourism in 2020, after a 22% drop in international arrivals in the first quarter of 2020, hoteliers are aware of their major role in the ecosystem of their destinations.  Most of them have decided to adopt a proactive vision of recovery based on a virtuous circle. By putting supply back on the market, they intend to generate demand and rekindle tourism consumption regardless of the origin of the clientele and even if it means adapting to new profiles.

B&B Hotels at full speed

"B&B HOTELS has managed to keep more than 100 hotels open during the [lockdown] period, and is now preparing to reopen a further 100 or so with strict sanitary protocol". This is the message the French group is sending to the world to come. According to B&B Hotels, the recovery is encouraging, Vincent Quandalle, managing director of West Europe, said in a statement on May 11: "A hotelier called me last week to tell me that his car park was full. It was a real moment of joy and I hope we'll have more very soon! ». He was already sharing the week of May 4th with Vanguélis Panayotis during an interview about the group's desire to reopen as soon as possible.

B&B Hotels is resolutely looking to the future, counting on a good media exposure via the various sponsorships it has signed with FC Lorient (Football Club de Lorient) or in cycling and sailing to showcase its brand to consumers.

Deutsche Hospitality in the starting blocks

Thomas Willms, CEO, Deutsche Hospitality shares We have spent the last few weeks undertaking targeted preparations for the moment when we would be permitted to reopen our hotels". The group has conducted a series of working groups in partnership with the various local authorities and healthcare professionals to best prepare for the recovery. The priority of the recovery set by the group, the respect of the defined hygiene protocols and the rules of physical distance.

Louvre Hotel Group targets business travellers

Olivier Daurat, Vice President Sales & Distribution explains "It is our duty as hoteliers to support the recovery of the local and national economy, by welcoming from now on the itinerant and salaried employees who have to move from one region to another. To do this, we are adapting to the lessons of this crisis by proposing tailor-made offers and facilitating company bookings with the Résa Pro platform". The overnight accommodation offer is complemented by a takeaway or room service catering service. Like its colleagues in the sector, the group has prepared for a welcome in the best sanitary conditions with a Commitment Charter.

Pierre Frédéric Roulot, CEO of Louvre Hotels Group, explains: "Our customers are expressing new expectations, and we want to provide them with extremely concrete solutions that are already in place in our open properties. It is our responsibility to provide them with solid guarantees of quality so that they can return to our properties with complete peace of mind".

Logis comes out of lockdown true to its comitments

Local, accessible and eco-responsible are the levers on which the federation of independent European hoteliers has relied during the crisis and to prepare for the recovery.
A dedicated booking platform handles business travellers and a Soirée Etape offer is put forward in a bid to encourage as many direct bookings as possible.

An operational guide to health and safety rules has been set up with a committee of hotel owners and industry professionals, along with a commitment charter on "health protection and reception". The joint work has focused on eco-responsible products and processes in a desire to respect the values of Logis hoteliers.
