As part of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of 30 hotel brands, W Hotels Worldwide is establishing itself in Italy with the opening of W Rome.
Located on Via Liguria, next to the Spanish Steps, the 162-room hotel spans two adjacent 19th-century palazzos. The W Rome is owned by King Street Capital Management, an international investment firm, development manager Omnam Investment Group and Italian asset management company Kryalos SGR.
"Layers of ancient history, exceptional food and wine, spectacular art and architecture, and a true sense of welcome from its people - there's no place like Italy and no city like Rome," said Tom Jarrold, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide.
It is this Italian joie de vivre that blends so well with the inspiring energy of the W Hotels experience. W Rome brings together unexpected design, inviting social spaces and the extraordinary talents of chefs Ciccio Sultano and Fabrizio Fiorani to create a refreshing and highly experiential lens of modern luxury.
With an open living space, the rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows wrapped in wine-red velvet curtains and herringbone-patterned wood floors that flow into the modern marble bathrooms. Inspired by Rome's past, present and future, the interiors used bold color blocks and graphic prints of burnt orange, dramatic red and leafy green in the authentic and inimitable charm of Roman buildings.
