Starwood Hotels continues African development

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is active in rising African markets. The hotel group announced the development of four new establishments under the Sheraton brand: Mauritius, Guinea, Rwanda and South Sudan, three of which are new markets. The Sheraton Conakry (282 rooms) in the Republic of Guinea and the Sheraton Juba (235 rooms) in the Republic of South Sudan should open their doors in 2015, the Sheraton Nouakchott in 2017 in Mauritius and the Sheraton Kigali (136 rooms) in Rwanda  in 2018.With these new developments, the hotel group will grow its African portfolio, which is now planned to increase by more than 30% within the next five years, with more than 15 total openings scheduled. Supply on the continent will thus be reinforced by more than 5,000 new rooms."African economic growth is currently the fastest in the world and the timing could not be better to expand our presence here.
