Meet Marc Touati at the Paris Asset Forum >hospitality on Tuesday 30 November to discuss the issue. The crisis linked to the Covid 19 pandemic has impacted all the stakeholders in the tourism product value chain. What are the indicators to be monitored and where are they pointing? What scenarios should we bet on? What opportunities are available for developers and investors in the sector?
It is undeniable that the crisis has changed the way many people work, but also household consumption and the way people travel. How has this impacted the sector and what will be the lasting consequences of these changes in the development of tourism in France and Europe?
What are the levers of value creation? What is the degree of liquidity of assets? By deciphering the new trends, let's find together some reference points to navigate in this new era.
The first keys will be shared by Marc Touati, founder of ACDEFI after having held the position of chief economist for 12 years within the Banques Populaires and Natexis groups. He holds a DEA in Money, Finance and Banking from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and began his professional career as a teacher-researcher at the same university in 1994. In January 1995, he joined the Economic Studies Department of Banques Populaires and became its director in the summer of 1997. In March 2000, he published his first book, entitled "Le retour du plein-emploi une nouvelle révolution française" (The return of full employment: a new French revolution), written in collaboration with Pierre Alexandre, an economic journalist with LCI. From 2000 to 2007, he was a member of the technical group of the Commission des Comptes et Budgets Economiques. He is also a member of the Club Ulysse which brings together economists, sociologists and historians. In 2002, he participated in the writing of the book "Le Politique saisi par l'Economie" (Politics seized by economics).
