The 216-room Hotel Super8 by Wyndham will welcome its first guests in July 2020 in the port area of the German city. The multi-brand operator Gorgeous Smiling Hotels GmbH will manage the hotel together with its operating company GS Star. It is the 7th Super8 hotel that it is opening with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts under franchise.

Mainz is a city known for its rich cultural heritage and will record almost one million overnight stays in 2018. Its economic environment is also well developed, particularly in the wine trade, as it is part of the "Great Wine Capitals" network, like cities such as Bilbao-Rioja or Bordeaux.  

The hotel offer is mainly oriented towards the upper, middle and upscale niches within the conurbation, leaving an opportunity for development in the super-economic niches.

The performance of the city's hotels is encouraging, with a significant increase in the average price over the last 3 years, leading to an increase in RevPAR.
