Minor Hotels announces the opening of NH Collection Doha Oasis Hotel & Beach Club in Qatar.
Minor Hotels, a hotel owner, operator and investor, which currently has a portfolio of 528 hotels and resorts in 55 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean, announced a new addition to its portfolio in Qatar.
The NH Collection Doha Oasis Hotel & Beach Club is scheduled to open in mid-2022 and will be the first NH Collection property to have a beach club.
The hotel is located in the Ras Abu Abboud area on the east coast of Doha, halfway between the city center and Hamad International Airport. The former Oasis Hotel, which gave its name to the new property, was in the same location and was the first hotel in Doha when it opened in the 1950s. The hotel has a rich history and was a destination of choice for Qataris, residents and state visitors, with many celebrations and official events held there.
The hotel will have 300 rooms, including superior and deluxe rooms and more than 50 suites. Suites will include six 156-square-meter Emiri suites, a 193-square-meter Presidential suite and an impressive Royal Duplex suite, offering 332 square meters of luxurious space. The F&B offering will be strong, with six restaurants and bars, including two specialty restaurants and a rooftop bar.
Additional amenities will include men's and women's spas and gyms, a 1,200-square-meter grand ballroom that can be divided in half, and a mezzanine with additional meeting rooms, a business center and conference space. The new hotel will also have a beach club with a pool in the middle of the gardens, paddle tennis courts and ample parking.
This will be NH Collection's first launch outside the brand's traditional operating areas in Europe and the Americas. NH Collection hotels are designed for discerning business and leisure travelers who seek strategic locations in key international destinations. The brand combines attention to detail, exceptional service, innovative premium products, state-of-the-art technology and authentic local cuisine.
The new property is owned by members of the Darwish family, a prominent Qatari family operating in various business sectors.
