IHG to double Indigo's Chinese presence

Hotel Indigo is expanding its footprint in the Chinese market, with the intention to double its presence within the next four years. The boutique brand thus announced the development of five new establishments in the country: the Hotel Indigo Kaohsiung Central Park (150 rooms, expected to open in 2015), the Hotel Indigo Nantong (125 rooms in 2015), the Hotel Indigo Zhengzhou (136 rooms in 2016), the Hotel Indigo Chongqing Guanyinqiao (130 rooms in 2016), and the Hotel Indigo Tianjin Riverside (180 rooms, opening in 2017).721 rooms in total will be added to the brand's portfolio in the country, which currently consists of 5 establishments in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Xiamen and Lijiang. Internationally, the chain has a current network of 52 hotels in operation and 47 more under development.
