In the heart of Rome, the luxury hotel brand Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts will open its second property in Italy in 2022.
The collection Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts is stepping its development with a new opening in Rome, known as an iconic luxury destination. As for the other Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts in the world, the future hotel will be housed in the most luxurious part of the Eternal City. Nestled in the heart of the Campo Marzio neighborhood, it will be located a few minutes from the archetypal Spanish Steps and the Bvlgari flagship on Via Condotti. The hotel will be located within a Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo building from the 1930s facing two of Rome’s most iconic landmarks: the Ara Pacis and the Mausoleum of Augustus.
The Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel will be in charge of both the restoration and the interior design, as it has been the case for all the Bvlgari Hotel properties until now. The interior will blend the traditional local style and contemporary Italian luxury design.
Bvlgari Hotel Roma is set to be opened in 2022 and will count over 100 rooms, the majority of which will be suites. The building will also shelter a restaurant curated by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito and a bar, both located at the top floor in order to offer a panoramic view over the city. The luxury hotel will also include a spa with an indoor swimming pool and a gym as well as a reading room with a collection of precious volumes specialized in jewelry.
Italy being Bvlgari’s cradle, this opening will be a fulfilment for Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts Collection, which already counts six properties in Milan, London, Bali, Beijing, Dubai and Shanghai. In addition to Bvlgari Hotel Roma, other projects are planned for the next following years such as Paris in 2021, Moscow in 2022 and Tokyo in 2023.
