DoubleTree by Hilton's Irish debut

Ireland has received its first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel after a renovation of the trendy Morrison Hotel overlooking the River Liffey.

The Morrison Dublin, a DoubleTree by Hilton, reopened under a franchise agreement with Martinez Hotels & Resorts after a €7 million refurbishment. The 138 rooms and suites have been updated with a concept based on Irish songwriters, each marked with lyrics made famous by an Irish band. The update remains in the spirit of the Morrison Hotel as patrons will remember it, a short walk across the river from the trendy Temple Bar district. John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, maintains that "This hotel is a fabulous representation of what our brand is all about... bringing to life the essence of Ireland's rich culture through such a stylish, sophisticated design. Guests will experience a taste of the city's Celtic heritage and modern vibrancy."
