Adagio is pursuing international expansion, with eyes trained on emerging markets like Latin America, Russia and the Middle East for further internationalization. The brand announced its introduction in Latin America, with 7 new addresses opening in Brazil around the same time, in: São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. These openings prepare the brand for the major events that Brazil will soon be hosting.On December 5th, Adagio will inaugurate its first establishment outside of Europe, in São Paulo, Brazil. General Manager Martine Balouka-Vallette highlights the region's importance to the brand: "We want to join this market in its growth and be ready for the major events that Brazil will be hosting, the 2016 Olympics and the World Cup 2014". She also notes the group's confidence that the Aparthotels product is well-suited to the Brazilian market.The brand expects to pursue further expansion, aiming to surpass 40 establishments within the next three years, notably in Russia and the Middle East, where the brand now has 10 hotels under construction, with an opening in Dubai and another in Abu Dhabi for next year.
