The hybrid hotel brand JO&JOE, belonging to Accor, marks its entry in Colombia with the opening of a property in Medellín.
Launched in 2017, JO&JOE is an economic and lifestyle brand belonging to Accor that offers shared hosting and is particularly aimed at millennials. JO&JOE mixes the youthful and lively aspect of a youth hostel with the comfort of a traditionnal hotel. The brand highlights the shared spaces, cultural exchanges and community life.
In Medellín, work on the new establishment began in August and the hotel is expected to be completed in 2022. Equipped with 198 beds (in shared dormitories and private rooms), the 7-floor building is located in the Nuevo Provenza district and will be decorated with street art works made by local artists.

JO&JOE's shared accommodations are designed as Open Houses, which break with traditional codes and set a new benchmark in the lifestyle segment. This hybrid accommodation model is designed to appeal to both travelers and city residents. It is a place to meet for lunch, a drink, and evening entertainment, with the possibility, of course, of spending the night.

After two establiments in France (Paris and Hossegor), further openings are planned in Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Budapest, Rome, Glasgow, Liverpool, Vienna, Moscow and London. Following the opening of JO&JOE in Medellín, the brand plans to open other establishments throughout the country, including Cali, Bogotá, Santa Marta, Palomino, Villa de Leyva and San Andrés.
