The forthcoming Aman hotel will be found in San Cassiano, amid UNESCO-protected Dolomite Mountains.
After opening the Aman Venice hotel in partnership with the Arrivabene Family, householders of the Papadopoli Palazzo for over 200 years, Aman Resorts International carries on its development in the country on a similar mode. This time, the group partners up with the Pizzinini Family, owner and resident of the Rosa Alpina hotel since 1939.
The Rosa Alpina hotel is located in the village of San Cassiano at the heart of the Dolomites Mountains, only three hours away from Venice by car. It offers its guests 52 rooms and suites, a 3* Michelin Restaurant under the supervision of Chef Norbert Niederkofler with his ‘Cook the mountain’ philosophy, and a holistic wellbeing offer comprising a spa with nine treatment rooms, an indoor heated swimming pool with forest views, a Jacuzzi, a yoga studio, fully equipped gym and an extensive hydrotherapy area.
Additionally, guests can enjoy 1,200 kilometres of slopes and 450 lifts in the Dolomiti Superski with a single pass in Winter. In warmer season, dramatic and breath-taking Dolomites scenery will appear before them as they wander in the valley.
On an operational level, Rosa Alpina will first remain under the guidance of the Pizzinini Family, with Aman integrating marketing services and sales, as well as operations on the ground. This first phase of the partnership is planned to last for 18 months, until Rosa Alpina eventually becomes a fully branded Aman hotel for Winter season 2022.
Having long followed Aman’s pioneering approach to hospitality, we are proud to be partnering with a brand whose family ethos aligns so well with ours. We look forward to embarking on this new chapter for Rosa Alpina, with Aman as the trusted guardians of our legacy.
Hugo Pizzinini, Rosa Alpina Managing Director
Aman has always prided itself on offering unique experiences in remarkable settings and our partnership with Rosa Alpina will deliver just this. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the Pizzinini family, in particular Hugo and Ursula, and we look forward to maintaining and celebrating the history of the property all while uniting it with Aman’s philosophy. We will unveil Rosa Alpina as Aman Rosa Alpina in 2022 in what will be our 14th UNESCO site.
