Located near the Cité Internationale Universitaire, the new address of JO&JOE boasts pop design created by the agency Pension.  It prioritizes street art thanks to the collaboration of 9 international artists who together realized the building's many frescoes. There are three options for accommodations:

  • Together - these resemble dormitories in youth hostels
  • Yours - these private rooms with bathrooms included "like at a hotel"
  • Cabines - in-between with individual spaces with a single bed and access to shared bathrooms

As for the bar and restaurant offer, guests may order from individual or shared menus inspired by street-food recipes in an open space with a capacity seat 140. There is also a self service beer wall that uses a prepaid card. In keeping with the brand's that was expected to address "tripsters" and "townsters" alike, to include visitors from out of town and neighbors, JO&JOE Paris-Gentilly will organize regular events: concerts, yoga classes and DJ sets. Initial programming will be announced in the days to come as "la crémaillère la plus loooongue" (the longest housewarming party).

6 additional new brands in European and South American cities

ACCOR announced the opening of JO&JOE next year in the following cities: London (in the Shoreditch neighborhood), Budapest (in the busy 7th district), Glasgow, Paris (near Nation), Rio de Janeiro and Rome.

A lifestyle brand for "urban nomads"

Unveiled in September 2016, JO&JOE joins the lifestyle brands portfolio of the groupe ACCOR. It targets millennials, or "urban" as Cédric Gobilliard, Vice-Président of the division Lifestyle de Accor, presents them, with a hybrid accommodations concept, that is nonetheless more similar to youth hostels than hotels, as well bar and restaurant options inspired by food trucks and trendy bistrots that have flourished in former Parisian stations in recent years... The places are designed to be open to guests and local residents and to host cultural and celebratory events. They are intended for the center of the world's major cities, popular neighborhoods and offer 200 to 400 beds.
