After Milan, with two properties, and Rome, Meininger arrives in the city of the Doges. The property is located close to the train station Venice Mestre. After Warsaw, Meiniger settles its second location in Poland.
Arrival in Venice :
A lease agreement has been signed with Deka Immobilien to operate a 434-bed property starting at the second half of 2022. The seven-story building is in good conditions which will allow the company to open the hostel in a few months. Its 4,500 square meters offer 112 rooms from double rooms to multi-bed rooms for up to six people.

The building is in very good condition, and we are taking over a majority of the furniture in the guest rooms and public areas, while refreshing the concept with our unique MEININGER style," said Ajit Menon, CEO of MEININGER Hotels.
Services will include a guest kitchen, game zone, washer and dryer, a bar and spacious public areas.
"The previous hostel was among the most famous accommodations for young group travelers and backpackers in Venice Mestre. We will continue to remain attractive for these target groups whilst enhancing our guest mix. Families and business travelers will also certainly feel at home here," added Ajit Menon, CEO of MEININGER Hotels.
Opening in Krakow :
This location is developped following by an agreement with the Polish real estate developer Fronton.
The 503 beds and 135 rooms property is set to open by summer 2023. Built east of the Old Town in the Grzegórzki district, the hostel will be directly connected to Krakow's main station and the airport. The Hala Targowa is on the direct vicinity of the hotel as well as numerous restaurants and bars. The historic center is also close from the future location.
Within renovated historic houses, the property will feature a rooftop terrace, two inner courtyards. To that will be added Meininger’s usual services a guest kitchen, game zone, washer and dryer, a bar and spacious public areas.
The group announces further openings with Bremen and Dresden in 2022.
