The Wesley has announced the future opening of its second hotel in the British capital. The new address is expected to open on 30th December 2022.
The Wesley Camden Town will be the second Methodist Church-affiliated hotel in London, following the success of the first property at Euston. The Church first got involved in hospitality 20 years ago with opening of the Methodist International Centre. This site was subsequently transformed into The Wesley London Euston and a conference centre in 2012.
The new property will open in a reconverted 19th century Camden Town chapel. Following £9 million investment, the site will house a 38-key hotel and a worship and community space. The mixed-use development is the fruit of a collaboration between The Wesley, the Church, and Manolo & White Architects.
We're delighted to open the doors to The Wesley Camden Town, as London's newest boutique hotel. The hotel will perfectly complement the vibrancy of the neighbourhood and builds on the ethical credentials established over the years at The Wesley London Euston. As a collaborative project with The Methodist Church, we're so pleased to be able to safeguard the future of this wonderful, listed building, whilst opening it up to UK and international visitors to London who will, as we say, ‘discover the beat' of one of the capital's most exciting locations.
