Travelodge continues to expand its presence in Spain with plans to open three new hotels by the end of 2026, adding a total of 263 rooms across San Sebastian, Cadiz, and Alicante.
Travelodge has signed long-term lease agreements with various property owners to develop these hotels. These new properties align with the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in key Spanish markets.
The San Sebastian hotel, which will be Travelodge's first in the city, is set to feature 78 rooms and will be located in the metropolitan area of Astigarraga. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.
The new Cadiz hotel, located in the Zona Franca on Calle Gibraltar, will offer 103 rooms and construction is expected to start in the spring of 2025. Meanwhile, the second Travelodge hotel in Alicante will feature 82 rooms and will be built on Avenida Aguilera, with construction beginning in the summer of 2025.
All three hotels will include Travelodge’s branded 85 Bar café, providing a hot breakfast buffet and an all-day food and beverage menu. With these new openings, Travelodge will bring its portfolio in Spain to 14 hotels, in line with the brand’s broader strategy to expand its reach in major tourist and corporate destinations across the country.
