The Anam Group appointments

The Anam Group has strengthened its leadership team with the appointments of Laurent Myter, Martin Koerner, and Ye Chang Sheng.

Laurent Myter has been appointed as Group General Manager. He has almost 30 years’ experience managing luxury hotels and resorts and will put this to use in supervising the group’s planned expansion of its portfolio. Before joining The Anam Group, Myter worked for nearly 23 years at YTL Hotels where he was based in Malaysia. His most recent role was that of Executive Vice-President Operations Resorts, in which he oversaw 12 properties in Southeast Asia and France. Between 2016 and March of this year, he was a member of the advisory board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Myter was then President of the collection’s International Advisory Board of Hoteliers from 2020 to 2022.

Martin Koerner has been appointed as the group’s Commercial Director. It constitutes a return to the group for the Cornell University graduate after he was its Director of Sales, Marketing & Distribution from 2016 to 2019. Since then, he was Commercial Director of Alma Resort Cam Ranh in Vietnam and has set up Optimum Hospitality, become a board member of EuroCham Vietnam and been appointed Head of Tourism Working Group by the Vietnam Business Forum.

Ye Chang Sheng (aka Peter) has been promoted to the position of Resort Manager of the group’s second property, Anam Mui Ne. Originally a chef, Ye joined the group in 2017 as Anam Cam Ranh’s Executive Chef, where he was instrumental in establishing its four restaurants and three bars. He then became the resort’s Executive Assistant Manager before being promoted now to manage the group’s soon-to-open second property. Previously, he was a Chef at InterContinental and Hilton hotels in South Africa and Executive Chef at Mia Resort Nha Trang.

Laurent, Martin, and Peter all have excellent track records in hospitality leadership and innovation; their rich and diversified experience will propel our group’s aspirations to significantly expand in Vietnam.
