Swissôtel has recently opened its first hotel in Romania, located in the mountain resort of Poiana Brașov. Surrounded by the Postăvarul Massif, this new property offers a retreat for outdoor enthusiasts, including skiers and hikers. The hotel is part of Accor's premium portfolio and represents an important step in expanding its presence in Romania.

The design of Swissôtel Poiana Brașov blends contemporary features with traditional Transylvanian touches, while the interiors use natural tones and materials. The hotel offers 64 rooms and apartments, with plans to add 50 more rooms by 2026. Collaborations with designers like Adrian Soare and Cristian Corvin have helped shape the hotel's design, drawing inspiration from Romania's cultural heritage.

“Our ambition is to showcase the diverse landscapes, vibrant culture, and rich history of Romania to both international and local travellers. The launch of Swissôtel Poiana Brasov is a milestone that reflects our commitment to expanding our offering in Romania with world-renowned brands.” -  Frank Reul, Vice President – Development, Accor Premium, Midscale & Economy for Eastern Europe, Balkans, Italy & Greece

Wellness plays a central role at the property, featuring a wellness center and Purovel SPA that provide a range of treatments. The hotel also includes a swimming pool, jacuzzis, a sauna, and a fitness center. Dining options at the hotel include the PRATO restaurant, which offers a menu featuring both Romanian and international cuisine. For business travelers, the hotel provides meeting spaces equipped to support both work and relaxation. Its location offers easy access to Brașov International Ghimbav Airport and major transport routes.

Swissôtel Poiana Brașov incorporates sustainability practices into its operations, including energy-efficient design and the use of eco-friendly materials. These measures align with the brand’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint while maintaining high hospitality standards.

The hotel is also close to several of Romania’s cultural and natural attractions, such as Viscri village, the Fortified Churches, and the Zarnesti Bears Sanctuary, giving guests opportunities to explore the local area. As part of the Accor Live Limitless loyalty program, guests can take advantage of rewards and services that enhance their stay.
